We offer 96 gallon trash carts as well as 1.5 yard, 3 yard, and 4 yard metal dumpsters.

As a practical guide based on weekly trash volume:

• Up to 7 trash bags per week — 1 × 96-gallon cart
• 7–14 trash bags per week — 2 × 96-gallon carts
• About 20 trash bags per week — 1.5-yard dumpster
• About 40 trash bags per week — 3-yard dumpster
• 50+ trash bags per week — 4-yard dumpster

Rural Waste Management makes every reasonable effort to provide reliable, timely waste collection. However, service may be delayed, rescheduled, or temporarily suspended due to circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, icy or unsafe road conditions, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other acts of God.

If a route is missed due to these conditions, service may not be rescheduled within the same week. Refunds or service credits will not be issued for weather-related or uncontrollable interruptions. Any accumulated excess trash will be collected on your next scheduled service day at no additional charge, provided it is properly bagged and placed neatly beside the container.

To ensure we can service your cart(s), place them out following these guidelines. Carts that are not placed correctly may not be serviced:

• Place carts out for service by 6:00 am on collection day
• Space carts at least 3 feet apart
• Face carts toward the roadway (lid opening toward the road)
• Place carts within 2 feet of the roadway
• Keep lids closed and do not overfill carts
• Do not compress trash so tightly that it will not come out during service
• Do not use bungee cords or rocks on lids — lids must open freely
• Keep carts at least 2 feet from fences, poles, and similar obstacles
• Keep carts at least 5 feet from vehicles, mailboxes, and other obstacles
• Do not place carts under trees or other overhead obstacles
• Do not block carts with cars, trailers, or other items

Do not place rocks, dirt, ash, batteries, car tires, concrete, large amounts of construction material, appliances, hazardous materials, or paint in your cart or dumpster. Carts have a weight limit of 250 pounds.

Important: Do not put ash in carts or dumpsters — even one small ember can cause a fire. Receptacles containing unapproved materials may not be serviced, and a fine may apply.

We cannot place a dumpster on the public right of way of a roadway maintained by the county or the state. The public right of way generally goes from fence line to fence line; if no fence is present, it is marked based on utility poles or posts. A good rule of thumb is about 10 feet from the edge of the maintained roadway.

Dumpsters must be kept on a solid, level surface that is accessible to our trucks, and the area around the dumpster must stay free of obstructions. If placement is an issue, we will work with you to adjust it to meet customer needs and state requirements. Certain areas are not subject to this right-of-way restriction.

• $10 Disconnect Fee — Applied if payment is not made within 10 days after we issue your bill; service may be suspended until the account is paid in full. After 30 days, carts may be picked up and the account closed.
• $25 Dirt, Ash, or Rock Fee — Charged when unapproved materials such as dirt, ash, or rocks are placed in a receptacle (minimum $25 for ash).
• $7 Extra Cart Fee (per collection) — Charged for an extra personal (non-RWM) cart or excess bags left beside your carts. It is usually cheaper to add an official RWM cart to your account.
• $25 Lid Replacement Fee — You are responsible for maintaining the RWM carts assigned to your account, including lids damaged by improper placement or overfilling.
• $100 Replacement Cart Fee — Charged if an RWM cart is damaged or lost due to use outside its intended purpose.
• $50 Overfilled Dumpster Fee — Charged when a dumpster is overfilled or has large items protruding from the top.

No. Our residential service agreement is a set of guidelines to help you get the most out of your service — it is not a long-term contract. Service is provided on a month-to-month basis, and you are free to cancel at any time with no cancellation fee. Account changes are made at the beginning and end of the month.

Residential service with a 96-gallon cart starts at $36.99/month in Tom Green County. Dumpster pricing is quoted based on your location and container size. One-time dumpster drop-off fees are $90 for a 1.5-yard dumpster and $200 for a 3-yard or 4-yard dumpster. There are no introductory teaser rates, no long-term contracts, no fuel surcharges, and no hidden fees.

2. Type in "Customer ID" which is the 12 digit number found on your email.
3. You will be redirected to the Trash Billing Page where you will again type in your 12 digit Web ID and create a password.
4. You can choose how you would like to pay. Either bank draft or debit card or credit card. On the lower left hand portion of this form is where you can select auto draft.

Electronic bills will be emailed out on the first of every month. We do not mail paper bills. Please ensure that the email address you provided us with is active. Bills are sent from NetComm and include your Customer ID.

Your first bill is sent shortly after your cart(s) are delivered and is prorated for the remaining portion of that month based on your delivery date. Autopay accounts are charged on the 1st when bills are sent.

Yes — bagging your trash is recommended. It helps keep your cart, street, neighborhood, and community cleaner. Bagging is a recommendation, not a requirement for service.

1. Select "Sign Up" and enter in the required information. Please keep in mind when selecting a "Start Date" that we require at least 48 hours to get your receptacle(s) to you.
2. Once we have received your information and provided your receptacle(s) to your property, we will email you with your collection date as well as your Web ID. You will need your Customer ID to make payments or set up auto draft if you would like.
